Uniform Details
This is a WWII period, German Wehrmacht, Model 1936, black color, Panzer "Sonderbekleidung", or black special
purpose "wrap-around" style of a uniform. This uniform belonged to a Panzer Generalmajor (i.e.: 1 Star General).
This style of a uniform was worn by Officers and Enlisted men alike. This partucular example has the insignia and gold piping
sewn on it of a Major General. Sometimes Panzer Generals would wear the standard and more commonand
desirable issue skull and cross bones collar insignia
on their lapels, instead of the red and gold General's collar tabs as seen worn here. This uniform was a combat uniform,
and was not intended to be worn as a dress uniform. But due to it's great popularity, it was often worn as a dress uniform.
This General's uniform has matching WWII German Wehrmacht, black color, Panzer trousers, with red stripes for a General.

This is the HOLY GRAIL of Tank uniforms. Rarely, if ever seen, and then in only photos of advanced collections,
most people do not even know any exist let alone encounter one avialable to acquire. In the last 45 years of collecting German
WWII memorbilia we have only seen 4 of these uniforms ever offered for sale, and this museum purchased 2 of them! In 2007
