Comments from the Curator:

Any US Army General's uniforms are very valuable today, and sell at substantial prices. They command even higher prices if they are attributed (i.e.: "named/identified"). Prices increase if the General has World War II combat service. Another cost escalator is if the General served in a desirable branch of the service such as in the Tank Corps., Cavalry, Airborne, Rangers, etc. This General has a very high rank when matched to his World War II service ribbons, which would indicate that his World War II rank was also very high. An interesting fact is that he was awarded a Good Conduct Medal. This indicates that he entered the service as an enlisted man and not as a more commonly expected officer candidate. At this time biographical historical research is being done to help identify this very high ranking, World War II serving officer. Reasonablly priced for it's high rank and World War II service.
