Uniform Details
1943 to the 1945 period, US Navy, Pea Jacket, belonging to Seaman William F. Reid, Sr., serving
in the "Seabees"
This uniform was received from a friend of William Reid, Sr. It is a WWII period, US Navy, Pea Jacket. This friend
of Mr. Reid's explained that Reid had served in the "Seabees" or "C.B.'s", which were "Construction Battalions".
It was reported the Mr.Reid served between 1943 and 1945. He trained at Bainbridge, Maryland. Seaman Reid saw combat
action on the Pacific island of Guam in WWII. This "P-Jacket" still has the original WWII period name tag of "William Reid" still
stapeled in the inside collar. The name of "Reid" is also inked stamped inside thus again attesting to it's originality. The Seabees
often saw ground combat in WWII. Their uniforms are considered quite collectible due to this fact. This is a chance to own
an original, identified, combat Seabee's uniform at a great price. Condition is very good with very light moth tracking,
and is missing 3 (easy to find) buttons.
