1956 to the 1991 period, East German ("G.D.R."), Rural Police Sergeant's Uniform
This uniform is of the 1956 to the 1991 approximate period. It is a East German (or "German Democratic Republic" or "G.D.R.")
military style uniform. The green color piping indicates that it is for the rural police. The rank is believed to be in the Sergeant's
category (research needs to be done to determine the exact rank). This uniform is in MINT! condition as are the breeches and peaked
service cap. The collar tabs ("Litzen") are made of heavy silver bullion wire and are spectacular. The epaulettes are also of fine
silver bullion wire and are perfect. The breeches are matching and are perfect. The matching peaked service cap shows
no wear at all on it's interior or exterior. Of all the many East German uniform types, this police uniform is perhaps the most
attractive of all. A great collectible and bargain.
