1962 dated, US Army, Army Green Uniform, belonging to a Specialist 4 or "E-4", serving in the 25th Infantry Division
in Vietnam
This uniform is 1962 dated and was worn by a Specialist 4, or "E-4" (equal to a Corporal). The insignia indicates service
in Vietnam. There is a cloth tag found inside this uniform which reads: "Coat, Man's, Wool, Army Green 44." This E-4 is
wearing a "Infantry Blue Shoulder Lanyard" indicating that this solider has been awarded the "Expert Infantryman's Badge."
This badge is found pinned on his left breast. His award ribbons were removed and kept by his family, which is a common
occurrance. Sewn to his upper left shoulder is a cloth patch for current service in the 25th Infantry Division which saw combat
in Vietnam. Sewn to his upper right shoulder is a "Military Assistance Command Vietnam", or "MACV" (pronounced "Mac Vee")
former combat service cloth patch. Vietnam uniforms are quite popular today and their prices are climbing as a result.
