Uniform shirt is of the 1956 period.
U.S. Army, Shirts, Man's, Cotton Santeen, OG-107.
Belonged to Brigadier General (i.e.: a 1 Star General),
named: "Milton L. Ogden".

Graduated from West Point in 1932 as a 2nd Lieutenant of the Coast Artillery. Served for 9 more years in mostly Anti-Aircraft units.
Between 1942 and 1944 Executive Officer of the Anti-Aircraft Board.
From 1944 to 1945 Staff Officer in the War Department. Between 1946 and 1947 Executive Officer, Troop Control Division in Japan.
From 1947 to 1948 Executive Officer CAC Branch. Career Management Division.
Between 1948 and 1949 student in the Armed Forces Staff College.
Then in 1949 Secretary General, Office Of Military Governement for Germany.
Between 1949 to 1951 Chief, Military Division, U.S. Element in Germany.
From 1951 to 1954 Staff Officer then later a Branch Chief, G-3 Section on the General Staff.
Then from 1954-1955 Chief Of Staff of the 25th Infrantry Division in Korea and Hawaii.
Commanding General of the 56th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Brigade between 1955-1957.
Deputy Commanding General of the U.S. Army in the Caribbean from 1957 to 1959.
Assistant Deputy Chief Of Staff, Operations, of the North American Air Defense Command (i.e.: "NORAD").

On this uniform shirt Ogden wears on his upper left sleeve a cloth patch for service in the 25th Mechanized Infrantry Division.
