Uniform is of the mid 1956 period.
U.S. Army, 1963 Pattern, Green Shade 107,
Cotton Santeen, Utility Shirt.
Belonged to a Engineer Corps.,
Brigadier General (i.e.: a 1 Star General),
named: "Russell C. Baker".
Active duty in 1942.
Assignments included Chief, Executive Division, and Assistant Engineer to Headquarters 6 th Army in the
Southwest Pacific Theater Of Operations.
Released from active duty in 1946. Baker's Reserve assignments included service in the 411th Engineer Brigade as
Construction Engineer and Executive Officer.
In 1951 he was assigned to the 412th Engineer Brigade as Executive Officer.
On May 11th of 1960 promoted to Brigadier General and as the Commanding General of the 412th
Engineer Brigade.
General Baker was awarded several awards and medals, including:
Sewn to his upper left sleeve is a round shaped cloth patch for service in the 4th Corps.
