U.S. Army, "Uniform, Man's, Wool Serge, Army Green 44".
Uniform is manufactured to " MIL - C - 13990 (QMC),
Dated 8 March 55, Patt. Date 20 June 55".
Uniform belonged to a Engineer Corps.,
Brigadier General (i.e.: a 1 Star General),
named: "Russell C. Baker".
Active duty in 1942.
Assignments included Chief, ExecutiveDivision, and Assistant Engineer to Headquarters 6 th Army in the
Southwest Pacific Theater Of Operations.
Released from active duty in 1946.
Baker's Reserve assignments included service in the 411th Engineer Brigade as
Construction Engineer and Executive Officer.
In 1951 assigned to the 412th Engineer Brigade as Executive Officer.
On May 11th of 1960 promoted to Brigadier General and as the Commanding General of the 412th
Engineer Brigade.
General Baker was awarded several awards and medals, including:
Sewn to his upper left sleeve is a round shaped cloth patch for service in the 4 th Corps . Each
shoulder epaulette has the metal star insignia of a Brigadier General . Both lower sleeves have the
cloth rings of General Officer. This uniform also has been fitted out (correctly) with optional Engineer Corps. metal buttons. This
uniform includes it's matching trouser belt and buckle, and a General's, cap, garrison, wool serge,
Army green 44.
